Mic Geronimo's Vendetta!
Okay, Where 2 start. First, I have NEVER written a review. I am not a critic. Peeps know me. Take what I say as what I believe...PERIOD! But it is NOT a review!!
People slept on Mic Geronimo... I aint gonna front, his first album while doing decent numbers didnt do as good as it should have. And that must have hurt. Something must've clicked. You can't avoid rap radio... You can't deny who is sellin and what they sellin... Cats with the lyrical skills of his Jr. High School dayz be selling like crack on Troutman & Knickerbocker in '85. So when the sophmore jointz time is due, he's gonna sell his soul!! Switch his unique style and become another playa of the minute! Yeah, I have to admit this thought did pass my mind for a minute when I heard Mic was working with Puffy! And before people heard the joint and even after but before the CD broke other people be wondering the same. Work with Puffy?? Just didn't sound right.....Until.......(NOTE:SEE/HEAR Mic's OWN wordz on Vendetta, working with Puff, WHY he worked with puff, his LONGTIME relationship with Bad Boy, his current relationships, with Flush and others on the Grand Finale presents Vendetta!!)
Bought the CD, rolled a dozen spliffs, hit the Honda..... Had to drop a tape off in Greenport, NY. 25minutes PAST the last exit on the LIE!!! Threw on the CD on......lit up, hit up the easy pass and rode...
Nothin Move but The Money... Snare Kicks...Bass Rips..."Keep it Movin cmon and keep it movin"...wanted to hate it.... IndieSent peeps know how that be...Mic is tight though..."With some help from the Bad Boys Mic don't play"...well, Mic don't care, I'm not gonna hold it against him.....but as I pass the toll, hittin the chocolate, I realize.. shit this IS Mic Geronimo!! There has been no switch.. "I stay high, puff a pound or so" If this song gets headz to listen to Mic...more power to it!! Opens the CD right....and it's still bangin at clubs!
Produced by Sean Pdiddy Combs and Daven Prestige Vanderpool who also take a writing credit!
Vendetta - Produced by the Legendary Traxster - Interesting track...Strings?? Sounds like Mic smoked a pound round "Cleveland" with a little California Skunk thrown in for good measure... Strictly Geronimo on the lyrical tip but can someone say "styles". "This aint no fucking game man, this shit is some serious fucking buisness..."
Great song to be traveling through Queens though...goes into another..
Survival - Produced by Havoc of Mobb Deep
"I gotta bone to pick with those who pretend to....Open my hand for the slap I extend you".... produced by Havoc need I say more... If Mic moved to Bklyn you can't tell it from this track! Queensbridge influenced and delivered, this track cuts like a box cutter in the hands of a high school girl with vengence on her mind! . "Im a do more than survive while the war goes on" Track kicks ass a I head into Nassau County.......
Life N Lessons, Produced by Irv Gotti
For Tha Family Produced by K-Def mixed by Marly Marl
Street Life f/Monifah
Three smooth jointz that get me through Nassau....Street Life ends with Monifah sounding stronger than ever....
Be Like Mic - "Everybody wanna be like Mic, Everybody wanna be like Mic Yo I believe I can Fly"!!.. No Doubt... Piano starts it off on a deceptive tip..Kicks it back up again... dope piano riffs, "See it's magic what I'm doin".. Im feelin it...."I can Fly"
Unstoppable - Produced by the Chocolate Boy Wonder - Pete Rock - This one is strictly that!! Unstoppable... Now, when is Mic gonna work with Pete Rock AGAIN!! "Im redefinin what you knew was possible" Originally recorded for the soundtrack for The Fan.
Single Life featuring Jay-Z & Carl Thomas --Nuff said!
Things aint what they used to be Produced by Prince Kasan & Royal Flush - Peace - Marvin would be proud! Mama Mama..theres too many of us dying.... If MG were alive today and lovin Hip-Hop this is what he would be up too!!
How You Been Produced by Buckwild A loving tribute from a son to his inspiration. With hot vocals by Khadejia Bass. The Realness, personified.
Usual Suspects featuring DMX, Ja, The LOX & Khadafi Produced by Prestige.
No-One holds back here.... Each one flows like water, together it makes Iraq meets Queensbridge look like disneyland. "Guliani showed me, that hells another level"
"If the world was yours would you keep it from a nigga like me? Hold your head, we about to see...."

No Doubt......We About to see..... Pick up the CD!! It BELONGS in EVERY HARDCORE HIP-HOP HEADZ collection!! I'll let the others worry about the rest! Peace!
