Noreaga's Melvin Flynt Record Release Party!!

capone spots B-High Well, if consistency doesnt't count for something, then the least you can say about Nore, is he IS consistant!! Now, to some, that means stgnant, which couldn't be furthur from the truth. But from the time we 1st met, at a Royal D Visual Marketing Press Day! One of the few Press days where Ganja was NOT allowed, I took the opportunity to dedicate the show AND lack of ganja for that show, to those locked down, like Nore's pnc who at the time was still upstate! Several times during the interview, Nore talked about holding it down for his absent partner and what it "WILL" be like when Capone gets out!! He also had his crew in the interview and was not shy about spreading the love.....(Big up 2 Diane Blankumsee, and of course Dr. Giggles who held it down that day!! (In fact, a picture of the Iraq Crew & B-High as well as the Giggles/B-High picture came from the lovely & EXTREMELY HARD WORKING...(Hear that Record Companies!!! An INDEPENDANT, Strong Black Sister doing R&B & Hip-Hop Promotions etc...))
Fast foward to the Worlds famous Apollo Theatre. The Lox, Queen Pen, Cocoa Brovaz,Big Pun/Fat Joe & The Beat Nuts and Noreaga sell out two (2) shows!! As usual, Security is MAD TIGHT at the Apollo... 2 Guests per act they enforce.. Fat Joe, a true Heavyweight in the UnderGround scene without hesitating reaches into his pocket and gives a wad of cash to a DJ he asked to come down but couldn't get in... "Maybe you can get a ticket & come backstage, or maybe ya just wanna get a phat sack & grab a gypsy cab home" he calls out to the brother.....

Others who are not so real, duck around, leave people flat, blame others etc.... A LOT of that shit went on that nite!! ( I was a LAST MINUTE guest, on Duck Down's List, so I HAD to wait for Shucky!!)

While waiting Nore rolls up....with a crew of AT LEAST 30-40 people!! NO EXAGGERATION!! People call Nore aside... "We just can't do it....The fire dept. is on our ass, the police wanna shut us down(There was a LOT more police presence that nite) we just can't do it....wait, yeah, we can do it but why don't YOU and 2 friends go upstairs NOW & we'll get your "crew" in later!!! As I stated before, "others" HAD done this, knowing FULL well that when they are inside, Blunt & LIQ in hand, no one cares if "later" ever comes!!!

"Fuck No", says a somewhat fucked up Nore, "I'll be over here smoking a blunt, when you can get my niggaz in THEN call me & we'll do this show!!"

And sure enough, Iraq in tow, he heads over to an emptier space and blazes the blunts!!

About this time Shucky Duck, Smokie Lah, Steele, DJ Evil Dee,Da Bigg Cheese - Dru Ha et al. roll up, Shucky grabs a hold and we all head inside!! Before too long though Nore makes it inside WITH "his niggaz" and RIPPED show straight to the bone!!! Blunt in mouth burning from the opening strains of Superthug (What What) Nore showed his CONSISTANT love for underground Hip-Hop!! The 2nd show blew away the audience & put Nore at the top of a killer show where EVERYBODY kicked ass (Although the Lox took a little time to get there that nite!)

Fast Foward to August 23, 1999. The same club that held the '98 Record Release Party was the site of the new Melvin Flynt Record Release Party...... An exasperated Club Owner (or manager etc) is clearly showing the frustration!! Nore & Capone are here with another posse!! These manager/ owners are trying to be selective about who from this "mob" gets in, but here is Capone saying....No, this guy didnt get in and that guy is still outside & I aint gonna ANYWHERE without them......

"Do ya schmell me?" Nore says, "I AINT EITHER!!"
