March 19, 1997

AUDWIN SOOKRA, a neighbor of the late Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, burns the edges of one dollar bills thrown into Wallace's memorial on St. James Place in Brooklyn, Tuesday, March 18, 1997. "I don't want people to steal this," says Sookra. "No one should profit from this." He added that Wallace would joke "he always wanted enough money to burn."
